Raised between New York and the Dominican Republic, Medrano began photographing early, using the camera as a way to translate everyday life into something intimate and lasting. Her early project 'Untitled Youth' helped set the tone for a practice rooted in observation rather than distance.

Since then, she’s photographed figures like Solange, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, and Little Simz, while also working across fashion with brands such as Gucci, Burberry, Jacquemus × Nike, and Calvin Klein.
