Skepta
Skepta
One of the few artists to turn a deeply local language into a global one without softening its edges, Skepta was raised in Tottenham and helped shape grime’s second wave as both an MC and producer, pushing it toward worldwide recognition. Moments like Konnichiwa and “That’s Not Me” defined an era and set a new standard for what British music could sound like on a global stage.
Skepta’s work has always stretched beyond music, moving through DJing, film, fashion, and platform building while staying rooted in independence. His role as Creative Director has continued to expand that reach, recently marked by receiving British GQ’s Man of the Year award while wearing the General Suit from the Mains A/W 26 collection.
In recent years, he’s focused on creating space for new voices while continuing to evolve his own world. Big Smoke!
