NIKE SKIMS LOOKS BETTER ON FEED THAN IN THE GYM
Good morning, it’s always 5am somewhere in the world, no? The NikeSKIMS Studio Edit 02 is a reminder that innovation, at times, shouldn’t be the most important thing when it comes to a product - because if we are being honest, that 2nd edit seems to work on the feed well, but flip the script and go to Equinox on Bond St, does it actually work out? It’s hard to tell, but the idea and execution does seem to be a bit skewed towards aesthetics rather than performance, which is what Nike stands for? No? Yes? Well, hard to know these days; but back to the collection.
Rifts making a comeback with new colorways! genuinely beautiful colorways and design, but for the rest of the collection something about the cuts and the renditions just don’t seem like very comfortable choices when you consider a full workout; or maybe it’s just us, but going for fabric as a case for innovation is not always the right answer.
Cue Facts by Ye, for the sport of it, right? That said, bring back the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 USA with the Nike+ technology; that’s the innovation that was certainly needed. That LeBron commercial had us feeling like we could be the next Calvin Cambridge, call it “Hoop Dreams.”
